Tips
Tips for gift card artwork
Keep text out of the prompt
Lettering inside AI images is unreliable. Add every word afterwards.
Leave a quiet area
Ask for empty space where the name and amount will sit, and keep it plain.
Name your brand colors
Put your colors in the prompt (“sage green and cream”) so the card matches your shop.
Keep away from the edges
Printers trim the edges of cards. Keep anything important away from them.
Check the print size
At card size the image gives about 375 pixels per inch. On a larger A5 voucher it drops to about 153, which can look soft.

No. It makes the artwork only. Gift card numbers, codes and balances come from your point-of-sale system or gift card provider; add this artwork to the card design there.
What size is a gift card?
Most plastic gift cards are bank-card size (ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1), 85.60 × 53.98 mm, about 1.59:1. Generate at 3:2 (1264 × 848 px) and trim a little from the top and bottom.
Can I print the artwork?
At small sizes, yes. Trimmed to card shape, a 3:2 image works out to about 375 pixels per inch at card size, and about 153 at A5 width, where it can look soft. Ask your printer about bleed, trim and file requirements, and check a proof before printing a batch.
Can it add the name, amount or a message?
No. Lettering inside AI images is unreliable, so add all text in a design app. Ask for empty space in the prompt where it will go.
Can I use the artwork for my business's gift cards?
Generated images can be used under our Terms of Service and the AI model provider's terms; read both before commercial use. We don't claim ownership of your images, and copyright protection for AI images varies by country. Don't recreate other companies' logos or branded designs, which our Acceptable Use Policy doesn't allow.
Is the gift card generator free?
It's free to try: your first 3 images are free, with no account, and they don't reset. At busy times, free capacity for the whole site can run out. After that, generating uses paid images from an image pack or the Pro plan. Paid plans allow up to 4 images per prompt, and each image uses one paid image. See pricing.
