Craiyon alternatives

Craiyon's free images are public to anyone with the link and carry a watermark, and its terms give Craiyon a license to what you create. These alternatives handle free images differently: some add no visible watermark, some keep images private, and some let you start without an account.

Why people look for Craiyon alternatives

These reasons come from Craiyon's own pages, not from reviews.

  • Images made on the free plan are public to anyone with the link. (source)
  • Using images without a watermark or credit to Craiyon needs a paid plan. (source)
  • Its terms give Craiyon a license to the prompts and images you create, on every plan. (source)
  • There's no public API for building it into other tools. (source)

Would a Craiyon plan be simpler than switching?

Maybe, if the watermark and public images are your only reasons: its paid plans change both. Leaving means giving up its built-in editing tools.

  • Paid plans remove the watermark and the need to credit Craiyon, keep images private and give priority at busy times. (source)
  • They include monthly edit credits for retouching, upscaling, SVG and video, while text-only images use no credits; unused monthly credits don't roll over. (source)
  • All purchases are final and non-refundable, according to its terms. (source)
  • If you leave, you give up retouching by description, background removal, upscaling to 2048 pixels, SVG conversion and short videos. (sources: 1, 2)
  • You'd also lose two prompt features: it says you can write prompts in your own language, and an Exclude field lists what you don't want in the image. (source)

How we chose

Craiyon's free plan is public and watermarked, so we looked for tools that differ on watermarks, privacy or sign-up, and we noted where an alternative makes the same trade-off.

These facts come from each tool's own pages; we haven't tested the tools side by side. Tool names are trademarks of their owners; we aren't affiliated with them. How we compare

Questions

Which Craiyon alternatives have no watermark on free images?

Perchance's page says it adds none, and AIPhoto-Generator doesn't add a visible watermark. Raphael AI's free images do carry one.

Are Craiyon images private?

Not on the free plan: Craiyon says free images are public to anyone with the link. Its paid plans list private images.

Can I use free Craiyon images commercially?

Yes, if you credit Craiyon: its terms allow commercial use on every account but require free users to credit it, and paid plans drop that requirement. Perchance's terms FAQ asks for no credit, while Raphael AI limits free images to personal, non-commercial use. Our Terms of Service say we don't claim ownership of your images; commercial use is subject to those terms and the AI model provider's terms.

Is there a Craiyon alternative for text in images?

Ideogram is built for it. AIPhoto-Generator isn't, so leave words out of the prompt and add them in a design tool.
